Meet Jillian and Frankie

Their Story

“Hi there! We’re Jill & Frankie! We’ve been married for 8 years, and together for 10 years... Jill is a youth pastor and loves working with teenagers, discipling them & helping them live out who God has called them to be! Frankie works at a distribution center & enjoys serving regularly on the youth worship team & in the church sound booth! Together they love playing board games, exploring coffee shops, and spending time with family & their two crazy dogs!
J: The moment that I knew I wanted to marry Frankie was early on in our dating relationship when he mentioned that he wanted to adopt someday... On my very first missions trip to El Salvador in 2013 I knew I wanted to adopt from Latin America, and when he shared that he also wanted to adopt someday, I knew God had brought us together for that purpose.
F: I moved to the United States from Mexico at age 11. I’ve always been thankful for the opportunities I’ve had here. Since then, I’ve always had the idea that I wanted to adopt from Mexico to give a child the same opportunities that I’ve had.
Together, we didn’t quite know what that would look like - we have struggled with infertility for 6+ years, but always had a confidence that God had children in our plans, we just didn’t know when! While we knew we wanted to adopt, we didn’t want to rush into that before we knew that God’s time!
On a missions trip in July of 2024, God began to whisper to us, “Now is the time...” As we continued to pray, that whisper became much clearer, much bolder, that this is the plan God for us, and the time is now! We believe that there are few other ways to show the heart of God than to adopt - after all, God has adopted us all into His family, and there’s no one too young, too old, too hurt or too broken for God to welcome, so our heart is to do the same, because in welcoming a child into our family, we’re reflecting the heart of our Heavenly Father who welcomed us into His family.”
